ULTRA SHIFTER/HARMONIST US600
Thank you for showing your confidence in us by purchasing the BEHRINGER ULTRA SHIFTER/
HARMONIST US600. This high-quality effects pedal shifts single notes and chords and even creates
intelligent harmonies to your notes—at the touch of a footswitch. Take off with incredible Tremolo
Arm/Flutter effects to bend single notes or simulate the movement of the tremolo bar.

The D TIME/SPEED control has 2 different functions depending on the effect mode selected.
For TREM BAR and FLUTTER mode it adjusts the speed of the pitch change. When using
DETUNE mode it controls the delay time of the effect. In PITCH SHIFTER and HARMONIST
mode this control is not active.
The BALANCE control adjusts the balance between the direct signal and the effect signal in
PITCH SHIFTER, DETUNE and HARMONIST mode. At minimum position only the direct
signal is provided while at maximum position only the effect signal will be heard. In TREM
BAR and FLUTTER modes this control adjusts the output level of the effects pedal.
The HR KEY control is used in HARMONIST mode to determine the key you are playing in.
This assures that the right notes fitting with the harmonic preconditions are generated by the
effect. You can select out of 10 different keys:
1. C major (A minor) 2. G major (E minor) 3. D major (B minor)
4. A major (F# minor) 5. E major (C# minor) 6. B major (G# minor)
7. Gb major (D# minor) 8. Db major (Bb minor) 9. Ab major (Fm minor)
10. Eb major (C minor) 11. Bb major (G minor) 12. F major (D minor)
The PITCH control adjusts the amount of pitch shifting. In HARMONIST mode it selects the
interval added to the direct signal.
Use the MODE control to select one of 5 different effect styles.
PITCH SHIFTER: Adds a detuned signal to the original signal with a maximum of 2 octaves
above or below. Use the PITCH control to select the degree of pitch shift (-24, -12, -7, -5, -2,
-1, +3, +4, +5, +7, +12, +24).
HARMONIST: Adds harmonies to the original signal with a maximum of 2 octaves above or
below. Use the PITCH control to select the desired interval (-2 Oct, -1 Oct, -6th, -5th, -4th,
-3rd, +3rd, +4th, +5th, +6th, +1 Oct, +2 Oct). The intervals are dynamic and adapt to the key
determined with the HR KEY control.
DETUNE: Adds a subtle detuned signal to the original signal with a maximum of 30 cents
above or below (-30 C, -25 C, -20 C, -15 C, -10 C, -5 C, +5 C, +10 C, +15 C, +20 C, +25,
+30 C). Use the PITCH control to adjust the amount of detuning and the D TIME/SPEED
control to determine the delay time.
TREM BAR: Detunes the input signal with a maximum of 2 octaves above or below similar to
the effect created with a guitar vibrato arm. Use the PITCH control to adjust the amount of
detuning (-12, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, +1, +2, +3, +4, +5, +12) and the D TIME/SPEED control to
determine the time used to reach the defined pitch value. The effect is only active when you
keep the footswitch depressed.
FLUTTER: Detunes the input signal periodically with a maximum of 1 octave above or below
similar to the effect created with a fast moving guitar vibrato arm. Use the PITCH control to
adjust the amount of detuning (-12, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, +1, +2, +3, +4, +5, +12) and the D TIME/
SPEED control to determine the time used to reach the defined pitch value. The effect is only
active when you keep the footswitch depressed.
The ON/BATT LED illuminates when the effect is activated.
Use the footswitch to activate/deactivate the effect.
Use this 1/4" TS IN connector to plug in the instrument cable.
The two 1/4" TS OUT A and OUT B connectors send the signal to your amp. If both outputs
are used they will output different signals in the modes PITCH SHIFTER, HARMONIST and
DETUNE. OUT A will have the pitch shifted signal while OUT B will have the input signal. The
volume of both outputs will be effected by the BALANCE control. In TREM BAR and FLUTTER
mode both outputs will have the pitch shifted signal.
