Operating two microphones of the k@~beries (e.g. two TLM 170 or
an RSM 190/191) with the Stereo-Nagra IV
Microphones of the k@or S eries are operated with P 48 Phantom powering, 2 mA.
Upon switching on, the current drain may be momentarily higher, especially with the RSM 190/191
shotgun stereo microphone System.
When such microphones are connected to the Stereo-Nagra IV, it may occur that they do not function
correctly or even at all; in some cases, oscillation is also apparent.
The power supply in this unit is of a very low Order, and the control circuit in the microphone tries to obtain
the necessary operating current despite a possible breakdown of the supply voltage.

This modification tan also be easily carried out in the field on exlsting units by changlng the two resistors
R 15 and Ff 16 shown in the Sketch from 10 ohms to 6.8 Ohms.
