Keypad lock with the remote speaker microphone nntn5208 connected...

previous models of Nextel direct connect phones, equipped with the RSM could have the keypad locked but the PTT on the RSM still worked. On the i365IS model, the RSM PTT button does not work with the phone's keypad locked. Is this standard or a defect with one particular phone?
