Can't activate the MIDI function of the E-10: I co...

Can't activate the MIDI function of the E-10: I connected the Roland to am Mac with an USB I/F. This is recognized by the Mac OS. When I switch the keyboard on, the computer receives a MIDI "reset" message - obviously the connections are o.k. Otherwise the keyboard is dead. Are there any setup procedures for the E-10?
