Question About Roland Electronic Keyboard XV-88
transposing...

I am having trouble transposing 1/2 step. I have the quick start manual and it says to hold the transposing button and pressing +OCT or -OCT. But my keyboard does not give the me the same sound every time. I'm interested in finding out what the owner's Manual says on page 48. Thank you, Cheryl Roy

0 i think the NUMBER of TIMES you do press the +OCT or -OCT button (while still holding the TRANSPOSE Button) is what is mixing you up. Each time you press it, it sends the keyboard one more half step in that direction, up to, I think 6 half steps. You will know you are "even" = back at 0 steps transposed, when neither the +OCT nor the -OCT button is lit when you are pressing the TRANSPOSE Button. THEN you can press either the +OCT or the -OCT button, to transpose the keyboard 1/2 step in either direction. Good Luck !
