opening mic for changing battery...

bought on ebay - battery seems empty - want to open without damaging

0 The microphone barrel unscrews. The crack is just below the battery test button. I believe there was also a version of the mic without battery provision to use with phantom power only. You might have that version but I think it had a different number, I believe 670. It takes a standard AA battery. I never leave a battery in there unless I am actually using the mic.
