How can I connect the Technics SX-PR604 to my PC? ...

How can I connect the Technics SX-PR604 to my PC? I've connect the MIDI cable and the USB cable and trying to play it on Synthesia but it doesnt work. Do I have to install the CD ROM in my PC first? But I've lost the CD long time ago...
