PREPARING THE ENGINE
Forenginesstoredover30 days:
1. Topreventgumfromformingin fuelsystemor oncarburetor
parts,runengineuntil it stopsfromlackoffuelor adda gasoline
additivetothe gasinthetank.Ifyouusea gasadditive,runthe
engineforseveralminutesto circulatetheadditivethroughthe
carburetor--afterwhichtheengineandfuelcanbestoredupto
six months.
2. Whileengineisstillwarm,changethe oil.
3. Removesparkplugand pourapproximately1 oz.(30 ml)of clean
engineoil intothecylinder.Pullthe recoilstarterseveraltimesto
distributetheoil, andreinstallthesparkplug.
4. Cleanengineof surfacedebris.

surfaces.Usinga lightoil orsilicone,coatthe equipment,
especiallyanysprings,bearings,andcables.

,, Storeequipmentin a clean,dry area.Do notstorenextto
corrosivematerials,suchas fertilizer.Do notstorein anarea
whereequipmentis presentthatmayusea pilotlightor hasa
componentthatcancreatea spark.
