Introduction: Thank you for purchasing the Crusader™ by American DJ®. For your convenience the
Crusader™ has been lamped and is ready for use, there is no assembly necessary. The Crusader™ may
be hung or set on a flat surface. The Crusader™ comes with a 4-way prism mirrored. This prism crates a
four (4) pattern reflection of the gobo. This fixture projects in split color combinations.
Operating Instructions: This unit comes with a 3-way operating switch located on the front of
the unit. The switch controls three (3) different operating modes; Static, Sound Active, and Continuous
Rotation. When the switch is in the "I" position the unit will react to the beat of music via its internal
microphone. When the unit is in the "0" position the fixture will act as a static gobo projector, the gobo
will not rotate nor will the colors change. When the switch is in the "II" position the unit's gobo and color
wheels will rotate in a continuous pattern not reacting to a sound source.
Lamp and Fuse Replacement:
Caution! To avoid the risk of electrical shock or injury never attempt to open up the unit while it is in use.
Always disconnect the main power before attempting to replace the lamp or fuse. Remember to always
replace with the exact same type lamp and fuse unless otherwise instructed to do so by an authorized
American DJ® service technician.
Lamp Replacement: Remove the two thumb screws that are located on the front cover of the unit to
expose the lamp. When the cover has been removed gently pull out the old lamp and remove it from the
socket assembly. Replace with a new lamp being sure to only touch the outside of the reflector. Carefully
insert the socket assembly back into the unit. Replace the cover and screw in the thumb screw.
Warranty: The American DJ® Crusader comes with a 90 day limited warranty. We recommend filling
out the warranty registration card that came with your fixture to validate your warranty. For service please
contact your American DJ® dealer.
