American DJ Shadow II DJ Equipment User Manual

The F-Timer/SH3 is a wired, timer remote
control that allows you three (3) different
operating modes.
• You may set your unit to fog at an
adjustable interval and an adjustable
blast duration.
• You may also set your unit to fog in
a continuous output pattern. Pressing
the continuous button on the remote will
blast the fog at its maximum level until
the heater must recycle. Then the fogger
will once again blast the fog output at its
maximum level. The remote will continue
this operating mode until the continuous function is turned off. While
in continuous blast mode be sure that you keep the fluid reservoir full
of fog juice.
• This remote also has a manual control function that allows you to

on the remote for desired length of time. The button is spring loaded,
so fog will only emit for as long as you are depressing the output but-
ton. It may take up to 30 seconds for fog output during initial start-
up. If fog does not come out, after holding the button down the red
button for 30 seconds, check the fluid tank and hose to make sure
there is fluid going through the hose. If fluid is not traveling through
the system try one more 30 second burst. Do not continue to push
the remote output button as this may severely damage your
unit. If fluid still seems not to be traveling through the system unplug
your unit and return it to your dealer for inspection.
The unit must maintain a specific operating temperature to emit fog,
when it drops below this temperature it must reheat. When the
Shadow II™ reheats to its proper operating temperature, the red
L.E.D. on the remote will glow. You will not be able to emit fog when
the unit is reheating. The reheat process usually takes about a
minute, when the red L.E.D on the remote turn off you will be able
to emit fog.

Occasionally the fogger will spurt output from it’s nozzle, this is
normal. This is caused by excess fluid building up in the heater
exchange until it has to be released. The fogger will usually spurt
fluid after large blast, but may spurt at any time. A fogger may even
spurt out fog for a few minutes after it has been powered down.
