For “ExpCmpTrk” (“EditType”), this will appear
when you press the “Mode” button.
8a. SelectExpCmpMode............[Fast, Mid, Best]
Select the conversion mode for expansion/com-
pression.
Fast: Emphasize processing speed
Mid: Between “Fast” and “Best”
Best: Emphasize audio quality
If “SelectPitch” (8b) is “Variable,” this setting will
have no effect.
8b. SelectPitch.........................[Fixed, Variable]
Select whether or not the pitch will change as a
result of the expansion/compression.
Fixed: The pitch will not change.
Variable: The pitch will change.
Press the “OK” button, and the expansion/com-
pression processing method will be finalized. If you
press the “Cancel” button, the settings will be can-
celled.
Examples of track editing
CopyTrk: Copying a track within the same song
Here’s how the INOUT range of track 1 can be copied
three times to the TO location of track 2.
1 Register the IN, OUT, and TO locations. (p.70)
2 Select copy.
In the [TRACK] “EditTrk” tab page, set “EditT
ype”
to “CopyTrk.”
3 Select the copy source track number.
Set “Sour
ceTrack” to track “1.”
4 Select the copy destination track number.
Set “DestT
rack” to track “2.”
5 Specify the number of copies.
Set “T
imes” to “3.”
6 Execute the copy.
Press the “Exec.” button. The display will ask
“AreYouSure?” Press the “Yes” button to execute
the copy.
When the copy operation is completed, the display
will indicate “Completed.” Press the “OK” button.
The copy destination track will be overwritten.
7 Press the [TO/LOC3] key to move to the TO loca-
tion, and check that the copy was performed cor-
rectly.
You can use Undo to return to the state before exe-
cution (p.73).
CopyTrk: Copying to a track of a different song
Here’s how the INOUT range of track 1 in song 001
can be copied once to the TO location of track 2 in song
002.
1 Select song 001.
2 Register the IN and OUT locations. (p.70)
3 Select copy.
In the [TRACK] “EditTrk” tab page, set “EditT
ype”
to “CopyTrk.”
4 Select the copy source track number.
Set “Sour
ceTrack” to track “1.”
5 Select the clipboard as the copy destination track.
Set “DestT
rack” to “Clip.”
6 Execute the copy.
Refer to step 6 of ““CopyTrk”: Copying a track
within the same song.”
The data of the clipboard will be overwritten.
7 Select song 002.
8 Register the TO location. (p.70)
9 Select copy.
In the [TRACK] “EditTrk” tab page, set “EditT
ype”
to “CopyTrk.”
0 Select the clipboard as the copy source track num-
ber.
Set “Sour
ceTrack” to “Clip1.” The number indicates
the number of tracks in the clipboard.
A Select the copy destination track number.
Set “DestT
rack” to track “2.”
B Specify the number of times that the data will be
copied.
Set “T
imes” to “1.”
C Execute the copy operation.
Refer to step 6 of ““CopyTrk”: Copying a track
within the same song.”
The copy destination track will be overwritten.
D Check that the copy was performed correctly.
Refer to step 7 of ““CopyTrk”: Copying a track
within the same song.”
If you use an external drive, please be aware that
the data in the clipboard will be erased when you
switch drives.
InsertTrk
Here’s how a blank can be inserted into the INOUT
range of track 1.
1 Set the IN and OUT time locations. (p.70)
2 Select insert.
In the [TRACK] “EditTrk” tab page, set “EditT
ype”
to “InsertTrk.”
3 Select the track number into which the blank will be
inserted.
Set “DestT
rack” to track “1.”
4 Execute the insert operation.
Press the “Exec.” button. The display will ask
“AreYouSure?” Press the “Yes” button to insert the
blank.
When the blank has been inserted, the display will
indicate “Completed.” Press the “OK” button.
5 Press the [IN/LOC1] key to move to the IN loca-
tion, and check that the blank was inserted cor-
rectly.
You can use Undo to return to the state before exe-
cution (p.73).
EraseTrk
Here’s how the INOUT range of track 1 can be erased.
1 Set the IN and OUT time locations. (p.70)
2 Select erase.
In the [TRACK] “EditTrk” tab page, set “EditT
ype”
to “EraseTrk.”
3 Select the track number from which data will be
erased.
Set “DestT
rack” to track “1.”
