drum and percussion sounds, and 32 kits – including separate

and a short demo will play. The TD-3 also comes with 15
types of built-in Ambience effects and compression, making it
easy to enhance the overall sound quality.
Rhythm Coach Exercises and More
With Roland’s Rhythm Coach onboard, drummers can
improve their timing, speed, and endurance using seven types
of rhythm training exercises with variations. It’s a great way to
hone your skills while having fun. The TD-3 also includes a
stereo Mix input for playing along with external audio sources,
plus MIDI In and Out for connecting with sequencers and

An excellent warm-up exercise that also teaches note values. The metronome
plays through a series of beat divisions every two measures, starting with half
notes, up to 16th-note triplets, and then back down to half notes again.
Designed to develop good timing skills through visual use of the display. As
you play along with the metronome, your performance is measured against
the timing of the click, and the result is displayed.
A timing exercise designed to develop "internal" timing. The metronome will play at the
set volume for the first 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 measures, then play the second 8 measures at
a reduced volume, challenging you to maintain the proper tempo throughout.
Similar to Time Check, except that the metronome advances five beats per
minute whenever a rhythm is played for eight measures with the correct
timing. This continues until the metronome's maximum tempo is reached.
Designed to build stamina by increasing the metronome one beat per minute
every two beats until the maximum tempo is reached. The tempo then
decreases in the same manner and the process repeats.
Designed to develop playing endurance by increasing the metronome's tempo
five beats per minute every eight measures until the maximum tempo is achieved.
The tempo then decreases in the same manner and the process repeats.
A “voice count-in” function that can be very useful for practicing. There is also
a visual measure counter in the display.

Easy-to-use interface with Scope feature
With its clean, friendly panel layout, the TD-9 is a breeze to
use at home and onstage. In addition to its illuminated
buttons, the stylish front panel contains a large and easily
readable LCD that displays sound, tempo, and other vital
information. When the Scope function is activated, the LCD
graphically shows the timing of your performance. With both
visual and aural reference, you can more effectively cultivate
and maintain the rudimentary skills essential to drumming.
Unique features that only V-Drums provide
The TD-9 beautifully conveys the dynamics and nuance of
your playing with features such as 3-way triggering on the
V-Cymbal ride and support for rim shots on toms and snare.
Other features enhance performance, such as the USB
connector, which lets you incorporate audio data (wav files) —
great for “one-man-band type” performances. You can also
use the USB port to save data externally. The TD-9 is
equipped with a metronome function and a Mix input to enable
practice with songs from CD or digital-audio players. Inputs
are also provided for adding pads and triggers* for a
personalized setup.
*While the TD-9 uses a dedicated pad-input connector cable, there are also separate
expansion jacks for two other trigger-input types (CRASH2, AUX).
