HOUSE CURRENT
Before use, check that the rated
voltage of your unit matches your local
voltage.
Caution:
To prevent electrical shock, match wide
blade of plug to wide slot, fully insert.
BATTERIES
Disconnect the AC power cord from
the AC inlet of the unit. Battery power
is cut automatically when it is
connected.
When the volume decrease, or the
sound distorts, replace all batteries
with new ones.
Open the batteries compartment and
insert 9 x "D" size batteries as shown
here:
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do
not mix ALKALINE, standard
(CARBON-ZINC) or rechargeable
(NICKEL-CADMIUM) batteries.

12 VOLT CAR ADAPTOR
Connect the adaptor (not included) to
an UL recognised 12 voltage 3A
Cigarette Lighter Receptacle and insert
the adaptor cord plug to the DC input
socket located on the back of the unit.
This model is provided with positive tip
polarity DC input socket as shown here:
Make sure the polarity of the plug of the
car adaptor is also of positive tip polarity.
TURN ON THE UNIT
Press the POWER switch to (ON) turn
on the unit.
NOTE:
After using the unit, press the POWER
switch to (STANDBY) turn off the power.

LISTENING TO THE RADIO
Adjust the VOLUME.
Adjust the DIGITAL ECHO level.
WHEN RECORDING
The VOLUME, TONE and DIGITAL ECHO controls may be adjusted with no
effect on the recorded signal.
The PITCH control must be adjusted to the centre position. Otherwise distortion
signal may be recorded.
Adjust the TONE for high or low
frequency range.
Adjust the PITCH control of the music.
(for TAPE only)
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to the
desired position (AM/FM).
FOR BETTER RECEPTION
Repositioning the unit to get better reception.
2. Tune into the desired station.
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to TAPE.
3. Press the PLAY button to begin playback.
2. Insert a cassette into each cassette
holder.
TO STOP PLAYBACK
Press the STOP/EJECT button.
TO INTERRUPT PLAYBACK
Press the
PAUSE button.
To resume play, press the PAUSE button again.
TO FAST WIND
Press the
REWIND or F.FWD button.
Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop winding at the desired position.
WHEN THE TAPE REACHES ITS END
During fast wind or regular play, the tape will stop automatically when its end is
reached.
WHEN BOTH DECK A AND DECK B ARE SET TO THE PLAYBACK MODE
The sound from both decks will be mixed together.
NOTE:
The PITCH control must be adjusted to the centre position otherwise distortion
signal may be played.

TAPE PLAYBACK - continued
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to TAPE.
2. Insert a cassette into each cassette
holder.
3. Press the PLAY button on deck A.
5. Press the PLAY button on deck B.
As soon as the tape in deck A reaches
its end and stop , the pause mode for
deck B is be released and playback
starts automatically.
4. Press the PAUSE button on deck B.

Should any trouble occur, disconnect the AC power cord and refer servicing to
qualified personnel.

ON PLACEMENT
Do not use the unit in places which
are extremely hot, cold, dusty, or
humid.
Place the unit on a flat and even
surface.
Do not restrict the air flow of the unit
by placing it in a place with poor air
flow, by covering it with a cloth, or by
placing it on a carpet.
Never obstruct the ventilation holes
on the rear panel, as increased
internal temperature may affect the
electric parts. In particular, do not
place the system in an airtight rack.
If using the system near television or
radio, interference may occur. Move
this system away.
ON AC VOLTAGE
Before use, check that the rated
voltage of your unit matches your
local voltage.
ON SAFETY
When connecting or disconnecting
the AC cord, grip the plug but not the
cord itself. Pulling the cord may
damage it and thus be hazardous.
Disconnect from the AC mains, when
the unit is not going to be used for
some time.
If the AC lead is broken or damaged
or if the copper wires are exposed,
contact a qualified engineer to
replace.

automatically engaged.
1.Connect the microphone(s) (included).
3. Adjust the MIC VOLUME, TONE,
PITCH and DIGITAL ECHO controls.
2.Select a source to be
mixed and play.
4. Start singing.
TV CONNECTION
When the unit is connected to a TV set of either NTSC or PAL color system, the video
image from a CD-G (CD graphics) can be shown on the TV set.
Sound from the disc is heard from the speakers of this unit.
Only a TV set with the VIDEO input jack can be connected to watch graphics.
CONNECTION (A) - FOR ALL TV SETS WITH AUDIO AND VIDEO JACKS
Connect the AUDIO and VIDEO jack of the unit to the AUDIO and VIDEO input jack of
the TV set with the connection cable supplied.
