The MSN Direct Receiver, which is
integrated in the vehicle power cable,
receives MSN Direct content such as
trafc, weather, gas prices, and movie
times. For more information about MSN
Direct, see http://garmin.msndirect.com.
The MSN Direct Receiver and nüvi must
be in range of an MSN Direct coverage
area. For coverage areas, see
http://garmin.msndirect.com/coverage.
Your nüvi must be connected to the
MSN Direct Receiver (vehicle power
cable) to receive MSN Direct content.

CAUTION: Pressing the Reset
button will reset the system and
delete stored content.
Activating Your MSN
Direct Receiver
To receive MSN Direct content, rst you
must activate your service (1-year free
service included).
1. Connect the vehicle power cable to
your nüvi and your vehicle’s power
outlet. Turn your vehicle’s key to the
ON/ACC position, if necessary, to
power the nüvi.
2. On the Menu page, touch .
3. Write down the product key.
4. Call (866) 658.7032 or go to
http://garmin.msndirect.com/activate
and follow the directions.
5. Within two days of completing step 4
above, complete the following steps:
Connect the vehicle power cable,
and turn the key to ON/ACC.
Make sure that you are in a
coverage area.
