Heater Assembly (Electric Models)
The electric dryer has two heating elements. One
is fixed at 3000 watts and cycles on and off. The
other is variable, controlled by a Triac that varies
the wattage from 0 to 3000 watts.
• The total wattage of the dryer will vary from
3000 to 6000 watts.
• The open end in the back of the housing
allows air to be drawn over the heating coils
and into the drum.
• Each row of coils should have a resistance
value of 17 Ω.
3. Remove the 2 Phillips head screws that hold
the heater assembly in place.
4. Remove the heater assembly.
To remove the heater assembly:
1. Remove the
Top Cover, the Front Panel, and
the Drum.
2. Note the wire locations and disconnect all
wiring to the heater assembly.
