Descriptions of the Measurement Functions—<function> (Cont.)
:MEASure[:SCALar][:VOLTage]:PERiod?
[<expected_value>[,<resolution>]][, (@1)|(@2)|(@3)]
Measures Period.
The measurement arming mode is set to “digits.” The Counter uses the
<expected_value> and <resolution> parameters to configure the number of digits
of resolution arming setting.
The Channel 1 or Channel 2 trigger settings are coupled so that the measurement
channel has auto-trigger enabled at 50% with a positive slope.
Ch1, Ch2
<expected_value>
range: 4.4 ns to 10.0 sec
resolution: <expected value> should be within 10% of input period
for optimum arming configuration
default: 100 ns
Ch1, Ch2 <resolution>
description: value indicates decade corresponding to least significant
digit of the result
range: 1E-23 to 1E-2 sec
value which indicates 3 to 15 digits of resolution for the
specified <expected value>
resolution: <resolution> should use a mantissa of 1.0 and be an even
power of 10
default: value which indicates 4 digits of resolution for the
specified <expected_value>
