higher than the two outside metal probes. This allows the receiver to sense
the vibration from the dog’s vocal cords, which in turn activates the correc-
t i o n . If this center vibration probe is too short, too long or even with the two
outside probes, the unit will not function properl y.
SECTION 4.
TESTING THE COLLAR RECEIVER
To check the height of the probes, simply place the unit so the probe side
is down on a hard flat surfa c e.The receiver should rock back and fo rth on
the center probe.
To test to see if the collar receiver is sensing vibration, gently rub the
probes over a hard flat surface (not glass). A red light indicates that the
r e c e i ver is sensing vibration and delive ring stimu l a t i o n .O n ly when cert a i n
the collar is working pro p e r ly should you proceed with fitting the col-
lar to your dog.
SECTION 5.
FITTING THE COLLAR TO YOUR DOG
Careful selection of the probes and positioning of the collar are import a n t .
Use the short probes for short-haired dogs and the longer ones for dogs
with long coats. Finger-tighten the probes, then turn one additional revo l u-
tion with the probe wrench; do not ove rt i g h t e n .A l ways use the ru bber insu-
lators between the collar and the probes to help keep the probes secure
and provide insulation in damp conditions.
You may find that a small amount
of hair removal or thinning allow s
better probe contact. DO NOT
s h ave the dog’s neck . If your dog
has an extremely thick coat, con-
tact the Innotek Contact Center
about purchasing special probes.
Fit the strap as snugly as possibl e
without restricting breathing.P l a c e
the collar on the smallest part of
the neck, positioning the receive r
an inch above or below its vo c a l
c o r d s.The probes must be touch-
ing the dog’s skin.
Once the collar is adjusted to the correct length, cut off the ex c e s s, leav i n g
4 to 6 inches. R e m ove it from the dog’s neck and seal the end with a light-
ed match for 1 -2 seconds. This will prevent fray i n g .
R e m ove the collar before leaving the dog unattended. C h e ck your dog
p e riodically for skin irri t a t i o n . If you need to leave the collar on your dog fo r
extended peri o d s, call the Innotek Contact Center about purchasing a
d u m my collar.
SECTION 6.
T R O U B L E S H O O T I N G
If the collar appears to not be wo rk i n g :
• Adjust collar fit.
• Trim hair or use longer probes.
• Make sure probes are touching the dog’s skin.
• Increase the height of the vibration probe to 1/16th or 1/8th of an inch
higher than the stimulation probes.
• Replace the battery.
• Adjust the stimulation leve l .
SECTION 7.

C O M P O N E N T S
A . Collar Receiver - This small bl a ck box is attached to a nylon collar stra p.
It is water resistant and houses the computeri z ed electronics which delive r
the correction stimulus via two probes.
B . S t i mulation Probes - Two sets of probes are included to accommodate
d i f ferent coat lengths and thick n e s s e s. Special probes are ava i l a ble fo r
dogs with ex t ra - t h i ck hair.
C . Keychain Magnet - Used to program the stimulus to one of seven leve l s.
D.6 - Volt Alkaline Battery - Power source for the receive r.
E . V i b ration Probes - Always use the short vibration probe with the short
s t i mulation probes and the long vibration probe with the long stimu l a t i o n
p r o b e s.
SECTION 1.
I N S TALLING THE BAT T E RY
B e f ore first use, you need to install the battery. Use a dime or slotted
s c r ew d ri ver to loosen the battery screw cap on the side of the receive r ,
t u rning it counterclock w i s e. Install battery with positive (+) side up and
replace the battery screw cap.
SECTION 2.
SETTING THE STIMULATION LEVEL
The No-Bark Collar has a progra m m a ble stimulation option that allows yo u
to choose one of seven leve l s.L evel 1 is mildest and Level 7 is the most
i n t e n s e. After installing/replacing the battery, the collar will default to leve l
1 ; so if you want to use a higher level, you will have to reprogram it.
Step 1 (Current Stimulation Lev e l )
When the magnet is slid across the red paper dot on the receive r, a solid
red light will come on for approximately 1 second. Then it will flash to indi-
cate the programmed level of stimu l a t i o n . For ex a m p l e, if the red light
flashed three times after the solid red light comes on, it is set at level 3.
Step 2 (Set New Stimulation Lev e l )
Within 3 seconds after Step 1, the magnet MUST be held over the red
paper dot to change the stimulation leve l .Count the number of flashes to
correspond with the desired stimulation leve l . For ex a m p l e, to change the
s t i mulation level to Level 4, hold the magnet over the red paper dot until it
flashes 4 times. Then pull the magnet away from the red paper dot.
Step 3 (Confirm New Stimulation Lev e l )
After the stimulation level is set, the receiver will automatically confirm the
l evel of stimu l a t i o n . Count the number of flashes to be sure it is set at the
desired stimulation leve l . If it flashes four times, then the receiver is set at
l evel 4.
If the collar is not set correctly at the desired stimulation level, allow the
collar receiver to cycle through Step 3 before attempting to repeat these
s t e p s.
SECTION 3.
