3.Agasorwaterleakis due to loosepipeorconnections.
HMITED WARRANTY ON TANKS THAT LEAK
Through five (5) years from the date of purchase, ifa leakoccurs in the tank, Searswill furnish, freeof charge, a new current model water
heater of closest available capacity and quality. If purchaser does not qualify forfree !nstaltation as provided in the One YearLimited Labor
Warranty below, there will be acharge for installation.
If the replacement water heater of closest availablecapacity and quality does not meet current applicablegovernment standards, them will be
acharge for the difference in price between the replacement which does not meet government standards and one which does meet govern-
ment standards
If the water heater is subjected to commercial, institutional, or industrial use or use in residences of two families or more, the abovewarranty
coverage for tanks that leakis effective for two years from the date of purchase and the Limited Warranty On Parts below iseffective for one
year from the date of purchase.
LIMITED WARRANTY ON PARTS
Through one (1) year from the date of purchase, when your Sears Kenmore water heater isinstalled and operated in accordance with the
instructions in this manual, ifa part fails due to a failure in materials orworkmanship, Sears will furnish a replacement part freeof charge.
If purchaser does not qualify for freeinstallation asprovided in the One YearLimited Labor Warranty below, there will be a charge for
installation.
ONE YEAR LIMITED LABOR WARRANTY ON WATER HEATER
When your Sears Kenmore water heater is installed by Sears orits licensed subcontractor and is operatedin accordance with the instructions
in this manual, Sears will, for one year from the date of purchase:
Install, free of charge, the replacement water heater asprovided by the above Limited Tank Leak Warranty.
Repair,free of charge, defects in materials orworkmanship of the water heater aspro,,4ded by the above Limited Warranty on Parts.
To obtain warranty service, SIMPLY CALL 1-800-4-MY-HOME (1-800-469-4663). This warranty applies only while this product is in use
in the United States.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Sears Installation Warranty
In addition to any warranty extended to you on the Sears merchandise
involved, which warranty becomes effective the date the merchandise is
installed should the workmanship of any Sears arranged installation prove
faultywithin one year,Searswill,upon notice from you, causesuch faults to
be corrected at no additional cost to you. If you want this heater profession-
allyinstalledby Sears contact your Sears Salesperson.They willarrangefor
prompt, qualityinstallation.
Sears Installation Policy
All installation laborarranged by Searsshall be performed in a neat, work-
manlike manner in accordance with generally accepted trade practices.
Further,all installations shall comply with all local laws, codes regulations
and ordinances. The customer shall also be protected, during installation,
by insurance relating to property damage, Worker's Compensation and
Public Liability.

Salesperson. They will arrange for prompt, quality installation by Sears
authorized conttactors.
