3. Accurate measurement of blood pressure may be difficult in people with serious arteriosclerosis,
weak pulse, or in patients with irregular heart rates. Please consult a qualified physician to
interpret your blood pressure readings.
4. Keep quiet and relax during measurement. To obtain accurate readings, wait one hour after a
meal or smoking before taking a measurement.
5. Wait at least 5 minutes before taking the next measurement. Patients with atherosclerosis or
diabetes require longer intervals (10-15 minutes), since vessel elasticity may have decreased in
these pathologies.
6. This device is supplied with a standard cuff which accommodates arm sizes of 9-14 inch
circumference.
Note: DO NOT use a cuff other than the original cuff contained in this kit.
5 BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Open the battery cover and install four alkaline AA batteries in the battery compartment as
indicated. Check polarity and ensure the batteries are correctly positioned;
2. Close the battery compartment cover.
• Replacethebatterieswhenthebatteryreplacementindicator“ ” displays or when the
devicedoesnotturnonwhenbutton“O/|”ispressed;
• UseonlyalkalineAAbatteries,donotuserechargeablebatteries;
• Useonlysame-age,same-typebatteriestogether.Replaceallbatteriessimultaneously;
• Ifthedeviceistobeunusedforlongtime,takeoutthebatteriesandstoreinadryenvironment;
• Donotleaveunchargedbatteriesinthedevice.
