QCard as Primary:
1. Select a QCard Program to be the Primary by pressing the
CARD button. Use
the
and arrows, if necessary, to select the desired QCard Program.
2. Press and hold the
LAYER/OFF button, then press a Keyboard Bank button. Use
the
and arrows, if necessary, to select the desired Layer sound.
QCard as Both Primary and Layer:
1. Select a QCard Program to be the Primary by pressing the
CARD button. Use
the
and arrows, if necessary, to select the desired QCard Program.
2. Press and hold the
LAYER/OFF button, then press the CARD button again. This
selects another QCard Program to be the Layer sound. Use the
and
arrows, if necessary, to select the desired QCard Program. Please note that
this method – using the
LAYER/OFF button to create the Layer – is the only way
you can layer two Card Programs.
QCard Programs in a Split
You can select a QCard Program to be the Split sound in the lower range:
1. Press and hold the
SPLIT/OFF button. While you are pressing SPLIT/OFF, press
CARD. The QCard becomes the Split sound on the lower range of the
keyboard. Use the
and arrows, if necessary, to select the desired QCard
Program.
2. The DG8 will keep the current Primary Sound selected as the sound for the
upper range of the keyboard. If necessary, press any of the Keyboard Bank
buttons to select a new Primary Sound; use the
and arrows, if necessary,
to select the desired Keyboard Program.
You can select a QCard program to be the Primary Sound in the upper range of a
Split setup:
1. Press a Bass Bank button to set up a standard split.
2. Press the
CARD button. This selects the QCard as the Primary for the upper
range. Use the
and arrows, if necessary, to select the desired QCard
Program.
You can select two QCard Programs in a Split setup, one for the Split sound in the
lower range of the keyboard and one for the Primary Sound in the upper:
1. Press and hold the
SPLIT/OFF button. While you are pressing SPLIT/OFF, press
CARD. The QCard Program becomes the Split sound on the lower range of the
keyboard. Use the
and arrows, if necessary, to select the desired QCard
Program for the lower range.
2. Press the
CARD button (without holding any other buttons). The QCard
becomes the Primary sound on the upper range of the keyboard. Use the
and arrows, if necessary, to select the desired QCard Program for the upper
range.
