Troubleshooting
I can’t hear any sound or sound is very quiet
z Make sure your DAP-601ES and amplifier are switched on
z Check that you have connected the DAP-601ES to your amplifier and source correctly
z Check that you have selected the correct input, see Selecting an input on page 6
z Check that MUTE is not selected or that your amplifier is not turned down
No sound from a single or pair of speakers
z Check that the relevant speaker channel is switched on by checking that the corresponding LEDs are lit up on the front panel, see Switching
channels on and off on page 8
z Check that the speaker wires are securely connected to your amplifier and speaker
z If there is no sound from your powered subwoofer, check that it is turned on and connected correctly
I can’t apply acoustic effects or adjust equalisation
z Check that Pro Logic II is not switched on, see Selecting Pro Logic II modes on page 7
z Check that you are not processing a multi-channel signal – acoustic effects are not applicable to these sources
Remote control not functioning
z Check that you have inserted the batteries correctly
z Ensure that the remote sensor on the front panel is not obscured
z Move closer to the unit and try again, if it works, this could be sign of weak batteries or that you were too far away from the unit
My remote is lost or broken
If your remote does not function and you have confirmed that it is not due to any of the reasons given above, contact your retailer or VideoLogic
Technical Support to obtain a replacement.
