Panel Descriptions

Pedal Connector
Connect the pedal cord to this connector (p. 12).

AC Inlet
Connect the supplied power cord here (p. 12).
Control Panel

[POWER] Switch
Turns the power on/off (p. 13).

[VOLUME] Knob
Adjusts the overall volume level (p. 14).

[TONE] Button
Used to choose the tone played by the keyboard (p. 16).

[SONG] Button
Plays the internal songs (p. 15) or the song you recorded
(p. 31). If you simultaneously press the [SONG] button
and [METRONOME] button, you’ll enter recording-
standby mode (p. 30).

[METRONOME] Button
Turns the metronome on/off (p. 26).

[REVERB/KEY TOUCH] Button
Adds reverberation to the sound (p. 21).
Modifies the playing feel of the keyboard (p. 22).
Bottom Panel/Rear Panel

Phones Jacks
You can connect headphones to these jacks (p. 13).

MIDI Out/In Connectors
Connect to external MIDI devices to exchange
performance data (p. 38).

USB (MIDI) Connector
You can connect this to your computer for transferring
performance data (p. 40).

Input Jacks
These jacks can be connected to another sound
generating device or an audio device, so that the sound
of that device will be output from the HP201’s speakers
(p. 37).

Output Jacks
Allows you to output the piano’s sound to sound
reinforcement equipment to obtain a more powerful
sound. These can also be connected to a tape recorder or
other recording device to record a performance (p. 37).
