Installation instructions
Electrical connection requirements
This appliance must be connected to a 220-240 V 50 Hz power supply only and earthed via
the power supply cable. In the United Kingdom, the suitably earthed three-pin plug must be
protected by a 3 A fuse.
A suitable isolating switch providing full disconnection from the mains power supply must be
incorporated in the permanent wiring, mounted and positioned to comply with the local wiring
rules and regulations. The isolating switch must be of an approved type and provide a 3 mm air
gap contact separation in all poles (or in all active [phase] conductors if the local wiring rules
allow for this variation of the requirements). The isolating switch MUST be easily accessible to
the customer with the appliance installed.
If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a cable of the same type. It can
only be replaced by the manufacturer, its Service Agent or a similarly qualified person in order
to avoid a hazard.
Note: This appliance is supplied with a power supply cable with a plug suited to the country of
sale.
For the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland only:
The power supply cable supplied is fitted with a BS1363, 13 A three-pin plug with a 3 A fuse. If
this plug does not fit the power outlet in the house where the appliance is installed, it should be
replaced with a suitable plug as outlined below. Should the fuse require replacement, it must be
replaced with a fuse rated at 3 A and complying with BS1362.
The wires in the power supply cable are coloured as follows:
Green & Yellow = Earth
Blue = Neutral
Brown = Live
As the colours of the wires in the power supply cable may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The green & yellow wire must be connected to the terminal marked E (
Earth) or coloured
green.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N (Neutral) or coloured black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L (Live) or coloured red.
