Extend or remove the server from the rack ("Remove the server from the rack" on page 28, "Extend the
server from the rack" on page 28).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 34).
4. Disconnect the cable from the optical drive.
5. Remove the optical drive.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

To remove the component:
CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless
all bays are populated with either a component or a blank.
