Installing the T-Arm Sockets

1. Remove therearwheelsfromthewheelchair.RefertoRemoving/InstallingRear
Wheelsonpage 61.
2. PositiontheT‐armsocketandT‐armclamponthewheelchairframeasshownin
FIGURE 6.1.
NOTE:TheT‐armsocketmustbepositionedontheoutsideofthewheelchairframe.
3. InstallthethreemountingscrewsandwashersthroughtheT‐armclamp,wheelchair
frameandT‐armsocketandlooselytighten.
4. TightenthemountingscrewsandwashersthatsecuretheT‐armmountingsocketto
thewheelchairframeinthefollowingsequence:
A. Middlemountingscrewandwasher.
B. Thetwooutsidemountingscrewsandwashers.
C. Torqueallthreemountingscrewsto156‐inchpounds.
NOTE:Makesurethehexboltsaretorquedto156‐inchpounds,otherwisetheT‐armsocketswill
becapableofrotatingaroundthewheelchairframe.
NOTE:Ifdesired,lockingpinscanbeinstalledtosecuretheT‐armbracketstothewheelchair
frame,asshowninFIGURE 6.1.
5. RepeatSTEPS2‐4fortheoppositesideofthewheelchair.
