Preparing to play
Be sure to turn off the power before making connections. Careless operation may damage your
speaker system or cause malfunctions.
1. Connect the included AC adapter to the DC 9V jack, and plug the adapter into an AC outlet.
2. Connect one end of your audio cables to the line out jacks of the ER-1mk
II
(L/MONO, R), and
connect the other end to your mixer or powered monitor speakers (amplified speakers) etc. If you
will be listening in mono, use the L/MONO jack. To take full advantage of the ER-1mk
II
's sound
quality, we recommend that you listen in stereo.
3. If you will be using headphones, connect them to the headphone jack.
The output from the line out jacks will not be switched off even if headphones are plugged in.
4. When you have finished making connections, turn on the power. Slightly raise the master volume
of the ER-1mk
II
, and strike the part keys (PERCUSSION SYNTHESIZER 1...4) to check whether
connections have been made correctly. Use the master volume of the ER-1mk
II
and the gain and
fader controls of your mixer or powered monitor system to adjust the volume to an appropriate
level.
