The MS-20
The semi-modular MS-20, first introduced in 1978 was an instant hit and has retained its
popularity since its initial release. The MS-20’s unique filter section (2 filters– high-pass and
low-pass with resonance, allowing for band-pass filtering), external signal processing
abilities, and limitless creative patching capabilities are what made the MS-20 a classic in its
time and a perennial favorite amongst synthesists, composers, performers, and sound
designers. A jumbo-sized hardware version was even released for teaching purposes!
