A. Using the hardware provided, place the
.164" wide flat washer, Spring, and Brass
Spacer on the .164-32 × 1.00" screw. Insert the

B. Remove and scrap the flange nut from the
end of the Direct Trip Actuator (DTA) Shaft
nearest the DTA Wires. Align the Trip “Z” Bar
and Guide Assembly with the DTA Shaft. Apply

242 then thread the shaft completely
into the tapped hole in the Trip “Z” Bar. Secure
the DTA Shaft to the Trip “Z” Bar Assembly with
the .250-20 nut provided.
C. Using the .164-32 × .312" pan lock screws and
flat washers, apply Loc-Tite

242 on the
threads then attach the Reset Pivot Bracket to
the opposite end of the DTA Module as shown.
D. Align the Reset Arm with the DTA Shaft then
slide the Reset Arm over the shaft. Attach the
Reset Arm to the Reset Pivot Bracket, using
the Reset Pin and .188" “X” washers provided.
E. Apply Loc-Tite

242 to the threads of the DTA
Shaft. Then, using the .250-20 flange nut
provided, securely tighten the flange nut on
the shaft.
F. Attach the Mounting Bracket Assembly to the
DTA Assembly by sliding the bracket between
the Trip “Z” Bar and the DTA Module as shown.
Before securing, make sure the pivot arm’s
brass post is on the correct side of the Trip “Z”
Bar as shown. Apply Loc-Tite
