Registering and Creating Materials
Chapter 3 Basic Operations
Registering an IP Camera as
Streaming Video Material

Select the “Streaming” tab of the “Content
Management” window.

Click the button on the toolbar.
The “Edit IP Camera Settings” window appears.

Enter the following data in the respective fields, and
click [OK].
The information entered for the IP camera is registered
as a piece of streaming video material.
Registering the URL of a Web Page

Select the “URL” tab of the “Content Management”
window.

Click the button on the toolbar.
The “Edit URL” window appears.

Enter the following data in the respective fields, and
click [OK].
The URL entered is registered.
The VSPA-D7 software allows you to specify the update
interval of the displayed web page, and the amount of page
shifting, so that the top and left area of the web page will
not be displayed. To accomplish these tasks, right-click the
desired URL data, and select [Option Settings].
Creating/Registering text material
Specify the text, colors, font, size, and effects to be
displayed to create text material.
The VSPA-D7 software enables you to register a bitmap
file instead of text as a piece of text material.
See “Registering a bitmap file as text material” on page 19
for details.

Select the “Text” tab in the “Content Management”
window.

Click the button on the toolbar.
The “Edit Text” window appears.

Click [Properties] to open the “Text Properties”
window.
Item Description
Type Type of the piece of streaming video
material (up to 20 characters).
Title Title of the piece of streaming video
material (up to 40 characters).
When no title is specified, “IP address:
HTTP port” will be the title.
You can identify pieces of material by the
type and title.
IP Address The address of the IP camera from which
video will be displayed as material.
HTTP Port The port number used for communication
with the IP camera.
User The user name to be used for
communication with the IP camera, if
assigned.
Password The password corresponding to the user
name described above.
Item Description
Type Type of the registered web page (up to 20
characters).
Title Title of the registered web page (up to 40
characters).
When no title is specified, the URL
excluding “http://” will be the title.
You can identify pieces of material by the
type and title.
Address The URL of the web page (up to 256
characters, including “http://”).
