Player Management
Chapter 3 Basic Operations
Note that, when there is a large number of players,
obtaining system logs from all the players may take an
extremely long time, and may affect operation of the
VSPA-D7 software.
The system log recorded on the selected player or all
players in the system is transferred to the PC, and
stored as a file on the Windows desktop.
When obtaining system logs is completed, a message
appears.

Click [OK].
Deleting Content from Players
The following procedure removes content, such as
materials, playlists, and schedules from the selected
player.
Normally, it is recommended you select the automatic
deletion option with which content on players will be
deleted automatically when they become unnecessary for
scheduled playout.
To select this option, enable the automatic deletion of
content from the players feature in the “System Setup”
window, then send the settings to each player.
Refer to the VSP-NS7 Setup Instructions for details.
1
Click the button of the operation guide.
The “Delete Content from VSP-NS7” window set
appears. Note that the displayed “Content
Management” window shows content stored on the
selected player, not on the PC.
2
Select the tab corresponding to the type of content to
be deleted.
For example, select the “Playlist/Extra Audio List” tab
to delete playlists.
3
Select the player from which you are going to delete
content, using the “VSP-NS7” drop-down list box,
then click [Refresh].
The list shows the content stored on the selected
player, after a progress window is displayed.
4
Select the items to be deleted.
To select more than one item, hold down the Ctrl key,
and click the desired items.
To select all items in a range, hold down the Shift key,
then click the first and last items in the range.
5
Right- click the selection, then select [Delete] on the
popup menu.
Or press the “Delete” key on the keyboard.
A confirmation message appears.
6
Click [Yes].
A progress window appears, then the selected content
is deleted from the player.
Clicking [Cancel] stops deleting content from the
player. However, it cannot undo deleting that has
already been done.
The VSPA-D7 software allows you to delete even the
schedules, playlists, and materials required for playout.
Make sure not to delete items you need for playout.
Also, note that proper operation is not guaranteed if you
delete content that is currently being used for playout.
