SPEAKER SETUP
1. Press SETUP KEY to open the Setup MENU.
2. Press Direction KEY [◀▶] to select the
SPEAKER SETUP.
e SUB-MENU contains:
DOWN MIX
(LT/RT,STEREO,VSS,OFF)
SUBWOOFER
CENTER DELAY
REAR DELAY
BASS MODE
Down Mix Denitions:
LT/RT: is mode allows Dolby Pro Logic stereo
eects.
STEREO: is mode will not aect discs encoded
for playback in stereo, but choosing it for 5.1 sur-
round sound discs will play only the audio of the
front speaker channels (front left, center, front
right).
VSS: is mode will mix the sounds of 5.1 surround
sound discs, and simulate its sound eects.
OFF: is mode will allow the use of a 5.1 surround
sound amplier.
DIGITAL SETUP
1. Press SETUP KEY to open the Setup MENU.
2. Press Direction KEY [◀▶] for DIGITAL
SETUP.
e SUB-MENU contains:
OP MODE
(LINE OUT/RF REMO)
DYNAMIC RANGE
(FULL, 6/8, 4/8, 2/8 and OFF)
DUAL MONO
(STEREO, MONO L/R, MIX MONO)

No Sound
• Inspect the KOD-1000 to conrm it is connected
to audio equipment and that the audio equipment
or TV is connected to the player.
• Check that volume levels on TVs and audio equip-
ment are audible.
• Check the cables connecting the player to audio
equipment or TV.
No Picture
• Check connections between TV and KOD-1000.
• Check the TV to see if its on the correct input or
channel to view the player.
Distorted Sound
• Check connections on the KOD-1000 and audio
equipment or television.
• Check input and volume settings on the audio
equipment or television.
Distorted Picture
• Check connections between TV and KOD-1000.
• Check the TV to see if its on the correct input or
channel to view the player.
• Select one video output — RCA Video, S-Video
or Component Video – and inspect the video cord.
Selected Song Won’t Play in Hard Disk Drive Mode
• Check tray that there is no disc loaded.
