Quick troubleshooting
If you have problems with your
Silent
Series
piano, here are a few troubleshooting
tips.
If you turn on the front switch and no
light comes on:
Is the AC adaptor connected to the
mains power supply? Is the adaptor con-
nected to the
Silent Series
piano?
If you engage the center pedal to stop the
piano sounding, but you can still hear the
piano sound:
The
Silent Series
piano’s Silent mode
will not work properly if you play too
hard. Play a little more softly to stop the
piano sounding.
If you turn on the front switch and the
light comes on, but no sound comes
through the headphones:
Is the VOLUME control turned up to the
proper level? Are the headphones
plugged in properly?
If you hear a distorted or unnatural piano
sound through the headphones or the
level through the headphones is too low or
too high:
You should be using
YAMAHA
HPE-170
headphones. Other headphones may not
give a satisfactory sound (see page 15 for
details).

Wenn Sie mit Ihrem Piano der
“Silent”-Serie
Probleme haben, können die folgenden Hin-
weise zu deren Lösung dienen.
Wenn Sie den Netzschalter betätigen, und
die Lampe nicht aufleuchtet:
Ist der Netzadapter in die Netzdose ein-
gesteckt? Ist der Adapter mit dem Piano
der
“Silent”-Serie
verbunden?
Wenn Sie das mittlere Pedal betätigen, um
das Piano stummzuschalten, aber den
Klang jedoch immer noch hören:
Die “stumme” Betriebsart des Pianos der
“Silent”-Serie
arbeitet nicht einwand-
frei, wenn Sie allzu hart anschlagen.
Spielen Sie etwas weicher, damit die Sai-
ten nicht erklingen.
Wenn Sie den Netzschalter betätigen, und
die Lampe aufleuchtet, aber nichts über
die Kopfhörer zu hören ist:
Ist der Regler VOLUME zumindest
etwas aufgedreht? Sind die Kopfhörer
richtig eingesteckt?
Wenn Sie über die Kopfhörer einen ver-
zerrten oder unnatürlichen Klavierklang
hören, oder die Lautstärke der Kopfhörer
zu groß oder zu gering ist:
Sie sollten die Kopfhörer
YAMAHA
HPE-
170
verwenden. Andere Kopfhörer
könnten einen unbefriedigenden Klang
erzeugen (lesen Sie auf Seite 15 für Ein-
zelheiten).
Guide de dépannage rapide
Si vous rencontrez des problèmes avec votre
piano de la série “Silent”, voici quelques con-
seils de dépannage.
L’interrupteur frontal est activé et aucun
témoin n’est allumé:
L’adaptateur secteur est-il relié à la prise
secteur? L’adaptateur est-il relié au
piano de la série “Silent”?
Vous engagez la pédale du milieu pour
couper les sons du piano mais vous pou-
vez toujours les entendre:
Le mode “silent” du piano de la série
“Silent” ne fonctionnera pas correcte-
ment si vous jouez trop durement. Jouez
un peu plus doucement pour couper les
sons.
Vous mettez l’interrupteur frontal sous
tension, le témoin s’allume mais aucun
son ne sort du casque:
La commande VOLUME est-connecté-
elle réglée à un niveau approprié? Le
casque est-il correctement?
Vous entendez un son de piano distordu
ou non naturel au casque ou le niveau du
casque est trop bas ou trop élevé:
Utilisez le casque HPE-170 de YAMAHA.
