Uneven density left and right
Check that printer is level.
If the problem is related to one color
remove that cartridge and shake it.
Clean the end contacts on the car-
tridge.
Replace the cartridge.
Regular uneven density down the page
Check the toner cartridges.
Clean the toner cartridges end con-
tacts.
Check the transfer belt cleaning roller
is correctly installed together with its
cover.
Check that the back door is fully
closed.
Check the fusing unit. Beware this
unit is hot. Power the printer off for
half an hour before inspecting.
Check the transfer roller.
