Setting the MIDI clock
Using the EFX SELECT control (EFX2), output the MIDI clock which
is synchronized with the BPM value set. (60 to 300 BPM)

Press the MIDI CLOCK START/STOP button.

The MIDI clock is output from the USB MIDI and
MIDI output terminals. The LED in the MIDI CLOCK
START/STOP button lights.
Setting the MIDI channels

Press the UTILITY/–USB A/USB B button.

Using the EFX SELECT control (EFX2), select MIDI
Setting MIDI INPUT CH or MIDI OUTPUT CH.
Set the MIDI channels.
MIDI layer operations
The unit incorporates a MIDI layer function for the input channels.
This function controls the external devices and software as the MIDI
controller.

Press the MIDI layer selector buttons. The EQ control
rings light up blue, and the MIDI layer operations are
performed.

The MIDI commands corresponding to the operations
using the panel controls are output. The operation are
not re ected in the DN-X1700. The MIDI signals are
received, and the LEDs light up or go off.

When the MIDI layer selector button is pressed
again, the
EQ control rings change to amber, and the
MIDI layer operations are ended. The operations are
re ected in the DN-X1700 without being output to the
MIDI output terminals.

If, at the completion of the MIDI layer operations,
the positions of the channel isolator EQ controls
(HI, MID, LOW) and Channel Fader differ from the
internal statuses of the DN-X1700, the DN-X1700 locks
its internal statuses without re ecting the positions of
the controls. While these statuses are locked, the EQ
control rings  ash.

When a control whose status is locked is operated,
the lock screen appears, and the lock icon and lock
position (red line) are displayed.

When the control matches the locked position, the
lock is released, and the operations are re ected in the
DN-X1700.
MIDI
This unit comes with USB MIDI input/output and 5-pin DIN MIDI
output functions.
These functions support the MIDI control functions of almost all the
controls as well as the MIDI clock.
