What’s REAC ?
REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) is a proprietary audio-signal transmission protocol from Roland that is
based on Ethernet technology. It provides transmission of uncompressed 24-bit audio signals up to 40 channels.
REAC devices are connected using Cat 5e (Enhanced Category 5) Ethernet cable.
What’s MADI ?
MADI (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface) is a standard of digital audio transmission standardized by AES. It is an
expansion of AES/EBU which provides stereo (2 channels) transmission. MADI can transmit up to 64 channels of audio
signal through one cable.
MMP (Moore Microprocessor Portfolio) refers to a patent portfolio concerned with microprocessor architecture that
was developed by Technology Properties Limited (TPL). Roland has licensed this technology from the TPL Group.
