3.Install:
● Copper washers
● Brake hose
● Union bolt
OTE:
● Tighten the union bolt while holding the
brake hose as shown.
● Check that the brake hose does not touch
other parts (throttle cable, wire harness,
leads, etc.) by turning the handlebar left and
right, and correct if necessary.
WARNING
● Proper hose routing is essential to insure
safe machine operation. Refer to “CABLE
ROUTING”.
● Always use new copper washers.
4.Install:
● Brake lever

27 Nm (2.7 m • kg, 19 ft • lb)
5.Fill:
● Brake master cylinder reservoir
OTE:
If DOT 4 is not available, 3 can be used.
CAUTION:
Brake fluid may erode painted surfaces or
plastic parts. Always clean up spilled fluid
immediately.
WARNING
● Use only the designated quality brake
fluid: otherwise, the rubber seals may
deteriorate, causing leakage and poor
brake performance.
Recommended brake fluid:
DOT 4
