Subwoofers offer a variety of low-frequency solutions for
general fixed installation or additional LF supplementation in
existing installations. Low-frequency systems have f3s (the
point at which r
esponse is -3 dB down) as low as 40 Hz. In
general, r
esponse below 40 Hz is required for theatrical
effects, full reproduction of pipe organs, and some special
effects in contemporary music such as synthesizers and
down-tuned bass guitars. The TL 880D is especially suited
for this special type of application.
