Connecting the AC adapter

anyotherACadaptermightcausemalfunctions.
3. ConnectthepowercordtotheACadapter.
4. PlugthepowercordintoanACoutlet.

5. UsetheKROME’scablehooktofastenthecableso
thattheDCplugdoesnotbecomeaccidentally
disconnected.

Turning the power on
1. TurntheKROME’sVOLUMEknoballthewayto
theleftsothatthevolumeisdown.
Ifexternalequipmentsuchaspoweredmonitor
speakersareconnected,lowertheirvolumeaswell,
andthenturnofftheirpower.
2. PressthepowerswitchontheKROME’srear
paneltoturnthepoweron.
Thedisplaywillshowthemodelnameandsoftware
version.(Theillu
strationshowsthescreenthatwill
appearwiththefactorysettings.Thismaychange
withoutnotice.)
Iftheautopower‐offfunctionisenabled,thetime
untilautopower‐offturnsoffthepowerwillbe
shownwhenthesystemstartsup.Ifthisdi
alog
boxdoesnotappear,theautopower‐offfunctionis
disabled;thepowerwillnotturnoffautomatically
(see“Autopower‐offfunction”onpage 16).
3. Turnonthepoweroftheexternalequipmentthat’s
connectedtotheKROME’sAUDIOOUTPUTL/
MONOandRjacks,suchaspo
weredmonitor
speakers.
4. UsetheKROME’sVOLUMEknobandthevolume
controlsofyourexternalequipmenttoadjustthe
volumetoasuitablelevel.

Turning the power off
Whenyouturnoffthepower,unsaveddatawillbe
lost.Besuretosaveanyimportantdatasuchas
editedsoundsorglobalsettings(seepage 12).
IftheKROME’sautopower‐offfunctionis
enabled,itspowerwillautomaticallyturnoffif
therehasbeennouserinputforacertainlengthof
time.Unsaveddatawillbelostevenifthepoweris
tu
rnedoffbytheautopower‐offfunction.

theleftsothatthevolumeislowered.
2. Ifexternalequipmentsuchaspoweredmonitor
speakersareconnected,lowertheirvolumeand
thenturnofftheirpower.
