Drum pattern
Youcanusethearpeggiatortoplayarhythmpattern
byusing“FixedNote”withadrumprogram.
1. InProgrammode,selectadrumkitprogram.
Forthisexample,selectthepresetprogramA017:Jazz
Dry/Amb1Kit(Category:Drums).
2. InGlobalP6:ArpeggioPattern,selecttheSetup
page,andparametersettings.
ArpeggioToneMode:SetthistoFixedNote.Thiswill
causethetonetoalwayssoun
datthespecifiedpitch.
FixedNoteMode:IfyousetthistoTriggerAllTones,
playingasinglenoteonthekeyboardwillsoundall
tones.
IfyousetthistoTriggerAsPlayed,thetoneswillbe
soundedaccordingtothenotesyouplayonthe
keyboard(seepage 212oftheParam
eterGuide).
3. SelecttheEditpage.
Let’sinputthefollowingrhythmpattern.
4. Foreach“Tone,”specify“FixedNoteNo.”
UsetheFixedNoteSetupbuttontoopenthedialog
box.Hereyoucanassignadifferentdrumsample(note
number)ofthedrumkittoeachfixednote.
Forthisexample,setToneNo.andFixedNoteNo.as
follows.
Thedrumsamplecorrespondingtoeachnotenumber
willdifferdependingonthedrumkit.It’sbesttoplay
thekeyboardtofindthedrumsoundyouwant;then
holddownFixedNoteNo.andplaythatnotetoenter
thedesirednotenumber.
