Basic oscillator settings
Hereyoucanspecifythetypeofprogram,selectthe
basicwaveform(multisampleordrumkit),andspecify
whetheritwillplaypolyphonicallyormonophonically
(poly/mono).
Program type setting (single, double,
drum kit)
Hereyoucanspecifytheprogramtype.
Broadlyspeakingtheprogramtypewillbeeither“a
programthatusesamultisample”or“aprogramthat
usesadrumkit”(see“MultisamplesandDrumKits”
onpage 33).
ThischoiceismadebytheProgP1:Basic/Controllers–
ProgramBasic“OscillatorMode”setting,which
specifieswhichtypetheoscillatorswilluse.Uptotwo
canbeusedsimultaneouslyforeachtype.
•Multisample:Single,Double
•Drumkit:Drums,DoubleDrums
Single(singleprogram)usesoneoscillator,and
Double(doubleprogram)usestwooscillators.
Drums(drumprogram)issimilartoasingleprogram,
butusesadrumkit(createdinGlobalmode)insteadof
amultisample.DoubleDrums(doubledrum
program)usestwodrumkits.Byusinganambience
typekitastheseconddrumkit,youcangiveawider
senseofspacetothesound.
Polyphony
Polyphonyisthenumberofnotesthatcanbeplayed
simultaneously,suchasinachord.Thepolyphony
dependsontheprogramtype.
Note:
•DoubleProgramsandDoubleDrumsusetwiceas
manyvoicesasSinglePrograms.
•StereoMultisamplesusetwiceasmanyvoicesas
MonoMultisamples.
•Ifusingvelocitycrossfadeswitching,the
multisamplewillusetwiceasmanyvoicesasusual.
