Arpeggiator settings
1. SelectCombiP0:Play–ProgramT01–08page.
Selectprogramsforthetimbresthatyouwishtouse.
Forthisexample,selectanydesiredprogramfor
timbres1–4.
2. SelectCombiP3:TimbreParameters,MIDIT01–08
page.
Forthetimbresthatyouwillbeusing,setStatusto
INT,andsetMIDIChanneltoGchortotheglobal
MIDIchannel(setinGlobalP1:MIDIBasicMIDI
Channel).
Forthisexample,settimbres1–4toaStatusofINT,
andtimbres5–8toaStatusofOff.SettheMIDI
Channeloftimbres1–4toGch.

6. Make“ArpeggiatorRun”settings.
Checkthearpeggiator(s)thatyouwanttorun.The
arpeggiator(s)checkedherewillrunwhentheARP
buttonisturnedon.
Withthesettingsshowninthedisplayforsteps2and
3,turningtheARPbuttononwillcausearpeggiatorA
torunfortimbres1and2,andarpeggiatorBtorunfor
timbre3.WhentheARPbuttonisturnedoff,timbres
1–4willsoundasalay
er.
IfalltimbresAssignstatusaresettoOff,orif
ArpeggiatorRunAorBisunchecked,thearpeggiator
willnotfunction.

theparametersforarpeggiatorsAandB.

Althoughthisisasomewhatsophisticatedediting
technique,wewilldescribethesettingsofoneofthe
presetcombinationsasanexample.
Whenyouplayaspecificregionofthekeyboard,this
combinessettingsthatcausethearpeggiatortoplayan
arpeggiousingdifferentsoundsthanwhatʹsbeing
playedbythekeyboard,withothersettingsthatcause
thearpeggiatorsoundsto
remaincompletelyunplayed
whenthearpeggiatorisoff.
Beforeyouplay,makesurethattheglobalMIDI
channel(GlobalP1:MIDIBasicMIDIChannel)isset
to01.
SelectcombinationA001:BossaRose(SW1/2),turnthe
ARPbuttonon,andplay.
ArpeggiatorAisassignedtotimbre2and16.When
youplaythekeyboard,thebassri
ffarpeggio
patternwillsoundthetimbre2program.
•TheA
BottomKeyandTopKey(CombiP7:ARP/
DT–ARPScanZonepage)aresetsothat
arpeggiatorAwillfunctiononlyfornotesB3and
lower.
ArpeggiatorAisalsoassignedtotimbre16,butthis
issothatthetimbre2programwillsoundonly
whenthearpeggiatorison.
Noticethetimbresettingsfortimbre2and16.
•Ifthearpeggiatorisoff,playingthekeyboardwill
soundthetimbre(s)thataresettoGchortothe
globalMIDIchannel(inthiscase,01).Sincethe
MIDIChanneloftimbre2issetto02,itwillnot
sound.Timbre16issettoGc
h,butsince“Status”is
