6. SET MODE
Setting to Obtain Square Root (SQRT Setting)
To obtain the square root of the measured value, proceed as follows:
Note that the measured data of which the square root can be taken, can only be of the
voltage type. To assign a unit, see section 6.4.
Key operation Indication Discription
Press the [DISP] key for three seconds to enter the SET mode.
Select the [ ] display by using the [ ] key.
Then press the [ENT] key.
Use the [ ] key to select the desired channel.
Press the [ENT] key.
Use the [ ] key to select [ ].
Press the [ENT] key.
Select the desired range (using the [ ] key) and press the
[ENT] key.
The display which appears will allow you to enter the
minimum value of the recording span (SPAN L). Select the
desired minimum value using the [ ] and [ ] keys. Then
press the [ENT] key.
The display which appears will allow you to enter the
maximum value of the recording span (SPAN R). Select it the
same way as for the minimum value and press the [ENT] key.
Note that SPAN L and SPAN R cannot be same.
This display allows you to enter the minimum value of the
scale (SCL L) corresponding to the minimum value of the
recording span (SPAN L). Select it using the [ ] and the
[ ] keys. The position of the decimal point can be moved
using the [ ] key in case [ ] is flashing. Note that the
allowable range is 19999 to 20000. Then press the [ENT]
key.
This display allows you to enter the maximum value of the
scale (SCL R) corresponding to the maximum value of the
recording range (SPAN R). Select it the same way as for the
minimum value. Then press the [ENT] key. Note that the
decimal point will be in the same position as for SCL L. SCL L
and SCL R cannot be same.
[ ] is displayed and the setting is completed.
Press the [ENT] key to set another channel; or press the
[DISP] key for three seconds to return to the OPERATION
mode.
NOTE If you press the [ESC] key in the middle of setting, the indication returns to the
[ ] and already set data will be aborted.
