Basic mixer column structure
This diagram shows signal
routing through a stereo input
mixer column that uses an
output element with fader. The
signal can be fed via any of the
external inputs, it can be
internally sent from another
mixer column via one of the
“buses” or it can be received
from a Windows application via
a streaming input.
Once the signal is in the column,
it can be mixed with a track
output, equalized, its level can be
adjusted and monitored, it can be
delayed, sent to another mixer
column or output and processed
by one of the available “plug-
ins”. The fixed peakmeters are
pre-fader so they will show a
signal even if the fader is all the
way down or if the mixer column
output is muted. Any level
changes resulting from an
inserted mixer element (e.g. fader
or EQ) will be shown by the fixed
peakmeters.

The stereo signal can reach
the input via a Soundscape
hardware input pair (XLogic
Alpha-Link MADI, ADAT,
AES/EBU or Analogue input
pair), or via a stereo pair of
streams (from a Windows
application) or buses (from
another point in the Mixer).
