Troubleshooting
If you connect the UA-25EX to your computer, sound will not be heard from your computer’s
speakers.
This is not a malfunction.
Connect your headphones or audio playback system (external monitors) to the UA-25EX.
Can you hear sound by connecting headphones?
If you can hear sound through headphones connected to the UA-25EX’s headphone jack, check
that you have correctly connected your audio playback system (external monitors), and adjust the
volume of your equipment.
If the sound in your headphones is inaudible or too soft, check the other troubleshooting items.
Are the volume settings of the UA-25EX itself set appropriately?
Use the UA-25EX’s front panel output volume and direct monitor volume knob to adjust the
volume.
Could the UA-25EX’s digital input switch be turned on (digital input mode)?
If the UA-25EX is set to digital input mode (p. 11), the audio signal being received at the digital
input jack will be output.
The audio signal from your computer will not be output.
Could the sample rate select switch be to set to “96R”?
If you want to play back at 96 kHz, set the sample rate select switch to “96P.”
Could the Windows or Macintosh system volume be turned down?

Are you using the correct connector?
Connect your guitar to the INPUT 2 combo input jack.
Is the input impedance select switch set correctly?
Set the input impedance select switch to the Hi-Z position.
Also check the contents of “Insufficient volume from a device connected to the combo input jack.”

No sound from your computer’s speakers
Sound played by your computer is inaudible or too soft
