Could the UA-25EX be in use by other software?
Close all software that’s currently running, disconnect the UA-25EX’s USB cable, and then reconnect it.
If this does not solve the problem, reinstall the driver.

Could the computer to which the UA-25EX is connected have entered standby (suspend) mode,
hibernate mode, or sleep mode?
Close all software that uses the UA-25EX, disconnect the UA-25EX’s USB cable, and then reconnect it.
If this does not solve the problem, restart your computer.
Could you have disconnected and reconnected the USB cable while using the UA-25EX?
Close all software that uses the UA-25EX, disconnect the UA-25EX’s USB cable, and then reconnect it.
If this does not solve the problem, restart your computer.
Could the UA-25EX have been connected when the computer started up?
On some computers, the UA-25EX may be unusable if it is already connected when the computer
starts up.
Start up your computer, and then connect the UA-25EX.
Does your software support 24-bit audio data?
Check whether the software you’re using supports playback and recording of 24-bit audio data.
Is your software set correctly?
Make sure that your software is set to play and record 24-bit audio data.
Is the digital input switch turned “on”?
If you want to digitally capture audio data from a CD or MD into your computer, turn on the digital
input switch to select digital input mode (p. 11).
Could the digital audio data contain SCMS flags?
The UA-25EX complies with SCMS; if data containing SCMS flags (such as audio digitally copied
from a commercial music CD) is input via the digital input connector, the UA-25EX will not allow
this data to be recorded to your computer.
The sound will be output from the master output jacks and the headphone jack.
Does the UA-25EX’s sample rate setting match the sample rate setting of the digital device from
which you’re trying to record?
Set the UA-25EX to the same sample rate as the device from which you’re recording. If you switch
the UA-25EX’s sample rate, you must disconnect the UA-25EX’s USB cable from the computer, and
then reconnect it in order to make the new setting take effect.
Is the Advance driver switch turned ON?
MIDI recording and playback is not possible if the Advance driver switch is OFF.
