Troubleshooting
Have you set the system’s “Performance” setting? (Windows)
You may be able to solve the problem by changing the “Performance” setting of the system.

Do the sample rate settings match?
The sample rate setting of your software must match the sample rate setting of the UA-25EX itself.
* After changing the sample rate setting of the UA-25EX itself, you must close all software that uses
the UA-25EX, disconnect the UA-25EX’s USB cable from your computer, and then reconnect it.
Could other software programs be running?
Close software that you’re not using.
If the window of a Windows program has been closed but it is still shown in the taskbar, that
program is still running. Close all unneeded software that’s shown in the taskbar.
Check the driver setting “Light Load” (Windows)
You may be able to solve the problem by selecting the “Light Load” check box in the driver settings
dialog box.

Have you tried Windows Update or Microsoft Update? (Windows)
Try using Windows Update or Microsoft Update (provided by the Microsoft Corporation) to update
your system to the latest version.
Try disabling the LAN
In your computer’s Device Manager, try disabling LAN (wired/wireless).
If this eliminates the clicks and pops, it may be that updating your LAN driver or BIOS may solve the
problem. Check whether updated software is available.
Could you have connected the UA-25EX to a USB hub?
Try connecting the UA-25EX directly to a USB connector on your computer.
Are you using the included USB cable?
You must use the included USB cable when using the UA-25EX. Some commercially available USB
cables do not meet the requirements of the USB standard, and this may prevent the UA-25EX from
operating correctly.
Could you have updated the Mac OS X software while UA-25EX was connected?
It has been found that clicks or pops can occur if you performed a Mac OS X software update while
the UA-25EX was connected. If so, install the driver once again.
Is a guitar connected?
If the noise decreases when you lower your guitar’s volume, it may be that your guitar’s pickups are
being affected by noise from your computer or display. Move the guitar as far away from your
computer as possible.
Could an unused microphone or guitar have been left connected?
If an unused microphone or guitar is connected to the UA-25EX, disconnect the microphone or
guitar and turn the input sensitivity knob all the way to the left to lower the input level.
Noise or distortion occurs elsewhere than in the playback from your computer
