Erasing an Unwanted Portion (Track Cut)
Project data that was track-bounced will be recorded to the CD-R disc starting form
“00h00m00s00” of that track and ending at the end of the project (project end). This
means that if there are silent portions at the beginning or end of the performance,
that capacity of the CD-R disc will be wasted. To avoid this, you can erase unwanted
portions.

To simplify the task of assembling the track cuts, you can select a desired area, and
register it in the Locator function. For details on registering/deleting Locator entries,
refer to “Storing Locators” (Owner’s Manual p. 39).

1. Use the
TIME/VALUE
dial or
SHUTTLE ring
to move to the
time location at
which you wish
to begin
writing.
2. Select the
LOCATOR
BANK. Press
[LOCATOR
(BANK)].
3. Hold [SHIFT] and press [BANK (LOCATOR)]. The numerics buttons ([0]
[9]) will blink (current bank number will light), and become the bank
number buttons.
4. Select the bank number. Press the numerics buttons ([0][9]). For this
example, press [0].
5. Select locator number. Press [1]. The start time of the project will be
registered, and the [1] indicator will light.
