Chapter 4
Adjust the volume level of the patch
If the currently selected patch is louder or softer than other patches, you can adjust its level.
1. Press [LEVEL/BPM/KEY].

2. Press [F1] (LEVEL), and turn [VALUE] to select the
desired value.

3. When you are finished making settings, perform the
Write operation (p. 25) if you wish to save them.
* If you do not wish to save the settings, press [EXIT] to return
to Play page.
As an alternative to the above method, you can also use a
function button in the Play page to adjust the volume level.
1. Make sure that you are in Play page.
If you are not in Play page, press [EXIT] several times.
2. Press [F1] (MST LEV) and adjust the value.
3. When you are finished making settings, perform the
Write operation (p. 25) if you wish to save them.
* If you do not wish to save the settings, press [EXIT] to return
to Play page.
Adjusting the sound of all patches collectively
You can make adjustments to the sound of all patches at the
same time.
If, for example, the venue at which you are playing — e.g. a
live concert — is more reverberant than the location in which
you created the patches, you can use this function to globally
lower the VG-88’s reverb levels instead of individually
editing the reverb levels for each patch.
1. Make sure that you are in Play page.
If you are not in Play page, press [EXIT] several times.
2. Press [F5] (GLOBAL).

3. Press the parameter [F1]–[F5] that you wish to adjust,
and turn [VALUE] to select the desired value for the
parameter.
4. Adjust the parameters until you get the sound you want.
