Chapter 5. Parameter Guide COSM GUITAR
METAL:
A metal body with a single round cone resonator. This is
suitable for bottle-neck (slide) playing, etc.
BANJO:
The sound of a body covered in stretched skin. Changing
the size will produce an effect as if the tuning were
changed.
SIZE [-50–+50]
Specifies the size of the body. This modifies the resonant
frequency to simulate changes in body size. A setting of “0”
will produce a “normal” resonance.
RESO (resonation) [0–100]
Adjusts the ease with which resonance will occur.
* If you have COSM GUITAR TYPE set to “NYLON
STRINGS,” the range of settings values for the resonance
switches to 0-10.
* This parameter is not displayed if you have COSM GUITAR
TYPE set to “NYLON STRINGS.”
BOTTOM [0–10]
Adjusts the volume of the low frequency range.
* This parameter is displayed only if you have COSM GUITAR
TYPE set to “NYLON STRINGS.”
You can adjust the pitch of each string to create non-standard
tunings. The direct sound will not be output.
ON/OFF
Switches the tune on/off.
TYPE
Sets the tuning of the strings.
If the shift type is “USER,” specify the pitch of each string.
OPEN-D:
This simulates an open-D tuning. Starting from the 6th
string, the strings will be pitched D, A, D, F#, A, D. The
original sound will not be heard.
OPEN-E:
This simulates an open-E tuning. Starting from the 6th
string, the strings will be pitched E, B, E, G#, B, E. The
original sound will not be heard.
OPEN-G:
This simulates an open-G tuning. Starting from the 6th
string, the strings will be pitched D, G, D, G, B, D. The
original sound will not be heard.
OPEN-A:
This simulates an open-A tuning. Starting from the 6th
string, the strings will be pitched E, A, E, A, C#, E. The
original sound will not be heard.
DROP-D:
This lowers only the 6th string one note. Starting from
the 6th string, the strings will be pitched D, A, D, G, B, E.
The original sound of the 6th string will not be heard.
NASH-VILLE:
Strings 1 and 2 will sound as they are. For strings 3 – 6
the original sound will not be heard, and they will sound
an octave higher than the original.
* When you select a TYPE, the Pitch Shift, Fine Tune, Balance,
and Level will be set automatically.
USER:
Pitch Shift, Fine Tune, Balance, and Level will be set
automatically.
SHIFT 1–6 [-24– +24]
If you have HARMONY set to “USER,” the amount of pitch
shift is then set relative to the notes as input with “C”
selected for the KEY parameter.
