The gain settings are effective at increasing sound pressure
for master tracks with a maximum level of -3 to -6 dB (2–3
marks below 0 dB on the stereo meter).
If using the compressor causes the sound to become dis-
torted, lower the gain of each band or mix it down again
so that the maximum level is around -3 to -6 dB. By doing
this, you can effectively raise sound pressure with a good
balance.
